#4:In a study done on a large group of people, a comparison was made between benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil for treatment of acne. It was observed that people who used tea tree oil took a little longer to heal than the people who used benzoyl peroxide. But, people who used tea tree oil has much fewer side-effects than those who used benzoyl peroxide. If you want the best of both worlds, you can lookout for products which combine both tea tree oil and benzoyl peroxide.

#5: Suggested Use: Dab some tea tree oil on a cotton swab and apply it on your skin. This is a test for sensitivity. If any a burning sensation appears, discontinue using the oil. If the sensation is light, dilute the oil up to 50 percent with water and then use. You can apply the mixture on the affected area on your face and leave it.

#6: Suggested Use: Make a face mask by mixing an egg white with 4-5 drops of tea tree oil. Apply this on your face, and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Wash with warm water.
