As your body’s heart beat increases, the brain releases certain neurotransmitters and hormones including adrenaline which have a calming effect on the body. The best part is that this effect is not temporary; instead, it gradually becomes a general state of being. These hormones also reduce stress and anxiety levels besides fighting signs of depression. If you have been doing cardio for a while, you would have definitely witnessed these subtle changes.

5.?Keep diseases away?- Forget apples, a cardio session a day can keep a number of diseases away. By speeding your heart beat, increasing metabolism and stimulating the release of certain neurotransmitters, cardio exercises have been known to provide protection against Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases etc. It is particularly beneficial for people suffering from Type II diabetes as it enhances a muscle’s ability to utilise glucose.
