How to Cure Cracked Heels at Home

  1. Rice Flour

Moisturizing the skin is essential to prevent cracking and rice flour acts as a great natural exfoliating agent.

Take a handful of ground rice and add 3 to 4 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and honey to it. Mix them well until they become a thick paste. Add olive oil or sweet almond oil for better results.

Initially soak feet in warm water for 10 minutes and then apply the paste. Leave the paste for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Repeat the process for a few times every week to get better results.

Take some warm water and add lemon juice to it. Mix them and soak your feet in the solution for 15 minutes. Lemon contains citric acid which is helpful for skin softening.

Use a pumice stone to scrub the cracked heels and wash your feet with warm water. Dry the feet with a towel.

Natural oil is very effective in cracking of feet. It is one of the best remedies available in the home.

Wash your feet in the soap solution and scrub the feet with a pumice stone. Wash thoroughly and dry them out with a towel. Apply vegetable oil on the cracked parts and the surrounding areas.

Wear clean socks after the application of oil in your feet. Leave them overnight for the skin soak in the oil. The next morning take off the socks and wash your feet with cold water.

Repeat the process for few days every week to get fast and better results.

  1. Paraffin Wax

Paraffin wax can be used for quick relief from prolonged pain and deep cracks. It can reduce bleeding and heal cracks quite easily.

Take a block of paraffin wax and melt it. Add two tablespoon of mustard oil and coconut oil to it. Mix them well.

Let the mixture cool down and then dip your feet in the mixture and wait for 5 to 10 seconds. Take them off and again repeat the process. Continuous repetition will form a thick layer of paraffin wax on your feet.

After few minutes cover your feet with plastic and leave it for half an hour. Peel off the plastic and the wax will come off along with it.

Repeat the process two to three times every week for better results.

Also, avoid this remedy if you are diabetic or have a poor blood circulation or low blood pressure.

  1. Rosewater and Glycerin

Glycerin is a natural moisturizer and softens the skin. When rosewater is added to it the mixture is a great remedy to cure cracked heels. The essential vitamins present in rosewater are mostly Vitamin A, B3, C, D and E. It also holds antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Mix equal amount of glycerin and rosewater and apply on your cracked heels before going to sleep. Let the solution soak in overnight and it will reflect great results.
