Best Home Remedies for Longer Lashes

Beautiful eyelashes

Over the last few decades, with brands expanding and the product range reaching infinity, home remedies have become long forgotten. People have tilted towards branded and packed products even though they are chemical oriented. Even though our grandmothers would have taught us home remedies, we can barely remember them. But with the beauty industry growing over the internet, home remedies are slowly gaining popularity. There are so many channels, pages, videos and blogs regarding these. Of course, like pretty much everything else, it has a new name; DIY (Do it yourself).

A statistic shows that almost 1 in every 8 girls in Delhi is a Fashion blogger. It is no news that Fashion and beauty industries are interrelated. The beauty industry has an average growth rate in two digits. That’s a lot. With that kind of a growth rate, new techniques and needs are bound to follow. People have started looking at every single part of their body. Something as small as an eyelash has become significant. A new technique of micro-blading lashes has become popular. Basically it makes them look fuller and enhances them. It is no news that such chemical techniques have certain harmful effects. So here are some of the ways to make your eyelashes naturally look longer and beautiful at home:

1. Castor Oil:

Castor Oil is the one of the holy Grail for hair health. Be it your hair, eyebrows or lashes, this is the best. Apply a very small amount of Castor Oil on your lashes before going to sleep at night. Rinse it off in the morning. Do this for 2-3 weeks constantly to see full results. It will make your lashes fuller and longer.

2. Aloe Vera:

When talking about home remedies for hair and skin, this is one ingredient That is a must. Mix aloevera gel with some olive oil or apply it on the lashes all by itself. Keep it for the night and rinse it off with warm water in the morning. This will make you eyelashes smoother, fuller and longer. Aloe Vera also helps repair the lashes from use of mascara as the latter makes the lashes rough and hard.

3. Petroleum Jelly:

This might come as a surprise but yes, petroleum jelly (popularly known as Vaseline) is helpful for the lashes too. Don’t worry, it won’t harm your eyes. Apply it at night on your lashes lightly and leave it over night. Do this for 4-6 weeks for fuller and longer lashes. This remedy is for the ones who don’t like making things at home yet want to avid chemicals. Also, if you are raveling, this is the best and hassle free option.

4. Green Tea:

Another unexpected name on the list. Here there are two options, using tea leaves or tea bags. Boil water and add the leaves or the tea bag. Once the tea is made, let it cool down completely and then apply it on your lashes. Let it stay overnight. This can also be done with some left over tea. You will barely need 5 drops for your eyes. The antioxidants in the tea make your lashes longer and fuller. If you are a regular green tea drinker, well, this is just a bonus use of the tea. If you want to be, this may add as inspiration.

5. Vitamin E:

Vitamin E capsules are easily available in the drugstore or at the local chemist. Mix it with castor oil or aloe vera gel and apply it on your lashes. Vitamin E is a very good source for hair in general. This will make your lashes fuller and longer. Evident difference will be noticed within a week.

Use any one or a combination of the above to make your lashes longer. Another tip to lengthen your lashes quickly is to trip them (not like hair but a very tiny part). This will stimulate the follicles and make them grow faster.

We are saying, it is always better to look pretty naturally, it will most definitely reduce your make up time too ;).
