Do you have green eyes? Do you wonder what eyeshadow works best for you?
Confession: I don’t have green eyes, but my best friend does, and I’ve always been secretly jealous. My BFF complains that she can’t find any eyeshadow that looks good on her. Brown seems to dull, she says. Blue seems too 1980’s. Green just makes her look washed-out.
Then one day she stumbled upon a great find — grey! Yes, a shimmery grey eyeshadow, as you can see in the photograph above, complements green eyes well.
Purple, plum, or lavender eyeshadow also goes great with green eyes. Since this is a cool tone, make sure to first line your eyes with a black eyeliner, preferrably liquid or gel, to make your eyes pop. (If you have green eyes and blond hair, or green eyes and fair skin, you can consider using a dark brown eyeliner — just try to stick with liquid or gel). Then cover the rest of the eyelid with plum or lavender shadow.
Warm browns also work well with green eyes. Stay away from reddish-browns, unless you have green eyes and red hair. Opt instead for earthy brown eyeshadow – like a raisin hue.
And when all else fails, opt for a copper or champagne hue, coupled with dark brown liquid eyeliner.
