#1: Get healthy.
Healthy inside means healthy outside, so take care of your health by eating right and exercising regularly for healthy skin.
#2: Use home remedies.
Consider using avocados, olive oil, and even bananas to mask your face and moisturize it. There are plenty of tutorials and ideas online for home remedies to heal your acne while moisturizing it.
#3: Wear less makeup.
Makeup dries skin out and clogs up pores. Wear the least amount of makeup you feel comfortable with. Many beauty products actually irritate the skin if combined with the wrong skin type.
#4: Clean your skin before bed.
Never go to bed with a dirty face. Make it your habit to wash your skin with mild soap and water before going to bed. This prevents dirt from building up in pores causing acne.
#5: Moisturize with what you already have.
There is no need to purchase expensive creams and products to keep your skin moisturized. Your basic no-perfume lotion will moisturize your skin just as well.
#6: Use micro-abrasion techniques.
Every week or every two weeks (according to how dry your skin is) use baking soda with a small amount of water to create a paste and apply it on your face. Rinse with warm water to remove dead skin cells that cause your face to dry out.
#7: Keep hydrated.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep your skin hydrated from the inside. When your skin is hydrated it will not be flakey and dry out as easily.
#8: Take vitamins.
Vitamin’s C, E, and D all help the skin heal from break outs and help it retain moisture. Take these vitamins every morning to see their full benefit.
#9: Wash your face according to your skin type.
If you have extra dry skin wash your face only once a day and don’t use overly chemical skin products to wash it. Try to stay with natural washes that won’t dry out your skin.
#10: Keep lotion on your person.
Carry an all natural lotion with you in your car or purse wherever you go. Apply it throughout the day on both your face and body for optimum benefit.
